What Happens to the Donated Vehicles?
So you decided to donate you car to a charity and it's been picked up. Are you wondering what has happened to your car?
It all depends on the charity.
Most charities will have their own mechanics, who volunteer their time
and service, to make any necessary repairs to the vehicles in order to
re-sell it at auction or put it into service. 
This
saves you any costs involved with repairing or trying to sell the car
yourself.
Some charities accept other vehicles such as:

-planes
When charities don't sell the vehicle for funds, they use them for a variety of matters. Some cancer charities use the cars to bring patients to and from therapy. This way, they don't have to worry about getting someone to drive them and they don't stress.
Other charities, like children's charities, use the cars to bring children to camp or other outings. The SPCA uses the cars for veterinary services.
No matter who and what you donate, the funds go towards research, equipment, supplies, and services.
