Technology meets Beards: Electric Beard Trimmers That Are Worth It

This is a new avenue of reviewing for me, but it had to be done due to the demand for it. It seems that with technology advancing so rapidly, every single subject is being affected in some way or another. This is definitely the case for beauty, and there is a potent synonymy between technology and beauty. Technology companies out there like Philips and Remington know this and are taking advantage of it by building quality products for daily use.. like shaving. Forget speakers by Philips! Check out some of these top rated electric beard trimmers they make. This is one reason why I love technology so much. So now lets move onto the reviews. Which one of these products are actually worth it?

NUMBER 3: Remington HC5550 Precision Power Trimmer:

Kicking off the 3rd spot is the Remington HC5550. This trimmer comes with self sharpening, titanium coated blades. You heard it right: Self sharpening.  Nothing less to expect from what oddly enough is a firearms company in Remington. The HC550 is very precise as it’s name states and is a great started product for the young and coming teenager. The Powercut technology it comes with makes for a pretty powerful shave, so you will really never have any issue getting your beard trimmed to the ideal length. It has a smooth, rubberized grip and it does not slip out of my hands at all. That is a major plus for people that like to shave in the shower, much like myself. The main reason I put this one at #3? It can be charged with a USB! YES, you can plug this into your computer and watch it charge like a phone does. It is incredible for nerds like me when you see how everything is becoming interconnected through technology. But anyway enough of nerdness in one article, lets move on to #2.

NUMBER 2: Philips Norelco QT4050 Beard and Mustache Trimmer

I am beginning with a really great product and it feels weird to put it at only number 2. The QT4050 is the bread and butter trimmer for Philips and there is great reasons why. For starters, you won’t find better quality than this at it’s price tag. A great motor that boasts high RPM shaving, it is a wonder how an electric cordless product can product that much power? If you have an unkempt beard that just annoys you because of how thick it is, this is a great choice for you. The length settings are pretty broad as well, so you can get the most out of your money if you plan on trimming daily.
* I would recommend spending like $20 more and getting the upgraded Philips Norelco QT4070. If you can’t, than don’t worry because the QT4050 is almost equivalent to the 4070.

NUMBER 1: Wahl Pro Lithium Ion 8546

German engineering is truly magnificent. From car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz to grooming manufacturer Wahl, the technology is really impressive in that country. The Wahl Pro 8546 is a super powerful, super sleep, super awesome set of clippers that I urge every one of you to try at least once in your lifetime. It is very expensive but I can’t say that it is overpriced. The design on this product is magnificent and unparalleled, making you feel like a superhero when you hold onto it. I always had a beard for as long as I remember in my early teen years, so I have tried MANY different trimmers and clippers. This one beats them all by far. Equipped into the box is several different attachments that go onto the head of the trimmer, and serve different purposes. Of these, there are attachments for your nose, your body, and even your hair. It is a multi purpose product and it saves you a lot of time rather than using a boring razor. I threw mine out years ago. Alright before I leave all of you, remember to subscribe to my newsletter for updates on new posts and if you are ever interested in donating to a charity, please contact me by visiting the contact us page above! And before I go, I will leave you with a video of the Wahl Pro 8546 in action! Cheers.

  1. I have the Wahl 9818. I certainly am not getting less than 8 hours use on a full charge. Remember, you must run the battery down before recharging in order to get a full charge. I’ll let you know about the running time of the Panasonic Milano when I test run it!

      • It’s true, they really vary by quality. I realize the cheaper ones break easily.

  2. I got my husband a gift for Christmas and he loves his new electric razor! He has had a cheap one before for over a year and had to replace the heads on it so much. This new one, the Norelco, is so much better!
